Are you daunted by the confusing tangle of paperwork and bureaucracy involved with a China adoption? I know my family and I sure were! When we began our second international adoption in 2008 (our first from China), we didn't have a clue what was ahead of us.
Thank goodness, or I think we probably would have bailed out at the beginning.
But once you get into it, and if you take it one step at a time, it really isn't that bad. But the big picture CAN be overwhelming!
Don't let the daunting prospect of the paperwork and process stop you from adding to your family through China adoption!

Overwhelmed?
The mounds of paperwork associated with adoption can be confusing and overwhelming - believe me, I know! But step by step, each part of the process IS doable. And totally worth it!
Important Note
The USCIS forms, post-LOA process, homestudy information, and passport pages are geared towards families in the United States who are completing an adoption from China. Live somewhere else? Don't leave yet! There is still plenty for you. The basic components of the dossier , adoption resources, travel information, Yahoo Groups , process overview, and general information about China are all for you as well! I hope you'll stick around.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, I would not advise ANYONE to enter China's regular adoption program (non-special needs, or NSN). Currently, the wait for the referral of a healthy baby girl/boy is at least five years, and expected to go higher (7-10) years. China is currently matching families who have waited since June of 2006 for their referral. I would strongly caution any prospective adoptive parent against entering the NSN program. This website is focused around the Waiting Child (or Special Needs) program.
