Agency Recommendation

Our original agency was Great Wall with a LID of 4/2007. We have been on their SN list since 4/2008 and HAVE NOT been matched. Our criteria is a female 3 or under with a minor need although we are open to numerous needs. We are VERY dissatisfied with Great Wall and DO NOT recommend their agency. They seem to cater to the new clients/new money.

I've spoken to their WC facilitator numerous times and the response I kept getting was they were waiting for the right match. They also told us that they had over 500 families waiting to be matched with a young female with minor needs.

We finally decided to make the huge step (yes, lose all of the agency fees we already paid to GW) and switched agency's.

We signed with Bay Area Adoption Services (BAAS) in Dec 2009 and were matched with the next list in Jan 2010. Our daughter was 15 months at the time with an unrepaired cl/cp. We leave in 1 week to meet her.

What really makes me mad about Great Wall is they send emails about how many families they've matched, when it's really a minimal percentage based on how many families they have waiting. I got an email this morning saying the wait for a young child with minor needs is 1-3 months! WHAT...we've been on their SN list for over 2 years and have not been matched....They are falsifying themselves.

I have nothing but great things to say about BAAS, the SN coordinator is very knowledgable, stays up all night trying to match famiies & has great relations with the CCAA.

I highly recommend BAAS.
