BAAS is a wonderful agency!

Just wanted to give some info about my experience with Bay Area Adoption Service (BAAS). It was a great experience. That is what I tell everyone. Why? Because it was real. I felt like it was honest and real. When I asked a question, I always got an immediate reply and it was honest. When I had a concern, that concern was never ridiculed. It was taken seriously. When I had a request, it was met.
My child was located in the middle of the night...the Waiting Child coordinator, Xiaoqing Cai, goes above and beyond the call of duty. There are no regular business hours (although I did what I could to respect personal time ;-)....still, I could reach her, if needed, on weekends and after hours. When dealing with files unlocking and locking at all hours---that is important (to me). Also, with so many files available and so many people advocating, it is a good idea to go with an agency who understands and agrees with advocating and locating files. An agency who is comfortable with you inquiring about a file that is still available, is a positive place to be. There are a couple agencies out there like this---and BAAS is one of them.
Xiaoqing is always willing to go to bat for a family needing waivers of one sort or another. Actually, it is never a big deal and sort of just expected that approval will be granted for someone who doesn't meet the minimum marriage length or is over the recommended age limit. She is also willing to do what she can to get an update while the file is locked, which is why her working hours and work ethic are important. If updates are needed during your wait for your child, she can handle that as well. But most people get those through gift package services.
So, if you are a family wanting to adopt a Waiting Child from China, Xiaoqing Cai and BAAS is a trustworthy choice.
