CCAA Special Notice: March 21, 2011

As approved by the State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform of the People's Republic of China and upon the decision made by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as MCA), the China Centre of Adoption Affairs (hereinafter referred to as CCAA) changed its name into China Centre for Children's Welfare and Adoption (hereinafter referred to as CCCWA) on 15 Feb, 2011.
The CCCWA will continue to be responsible for dealing with inter-country adoptions and will assume the responsibility of developing, managing and maintaining the National System of Information Management for Child Welfare.
Moreover, the CCCWA will also undertake tasks in relation to child welfare and domestic adoption that the MCA entrusts as well as other assigned missions.
At present, the CCCWA is carrying out step by step the work of changing its legal name and the concerned seals. The seals, letter paper, formats of Letter of Seeking Confirmation and Notice for Travelling to China for Adoption which functioned in the past will be used as usual in the initial stages before all the changes are finally accomplished. If any adjustment is going to be made accordingly, the CCCWA will release another notice beforehand.
CCCWA looks forward to an ongoing close relationship with you for inter-country adoptions, and meanwhile hopes for possibilities to strengthen the cooperation with you in the field of child welfare.
